Noctua generally makes good fans but also keep in mind fans specs are the biggest lie in this hobby. I can't speak to how strong those fans are specifically but I'm sure someone else will chime in.
D5 pumps are large and I'm not sure they are a good fit with rads that are more restrictive. I would have gone with a DDC personally especially given the space constraints.

Run a 1kw load on a single 360 GTX? There are things that can be done just to be done, but that doesn't make it a smart idea. You'd need some serious freaking fans that would make your ears bleed to make the cooling acceptable. Back in the day ppl would run 600w loads on a GTX 120 for shits and giggles, yes it cooled it somewhat but it's a thing you can do not a thing you'd want to do. Two skinny rads even if HWL GTS will probably not be enough if you want good cooling with low noise and it's even harder with small cases.
Thank you

D5 PUMP - I went back and forth on the DDC or D5. For me the space already existed based on the way the case modder desired the internal. And my research with DDC pumps are a little more noise, and run a little hotter. So that is why I went with the D5.

@HBSound , having dual D5 pumps is nice to have for redundancy but absolutely not necessary, or added value to cooling capacity. If you're worried about flow restrictions you can go for a DDC pump with higher pressure.
@Noci - Thank you so much! I can rock with the single D5. I believe it will work just fine.

The Noctuas are good fans, but not much different from other fans. I own a bunch of the NF-A12x25 as well as fans from various other brands.

Also, I have three of the NF-A12x15s on the roof of my case and those do stand out in performance compared to other brands because of how slim they are, fairly unique in that product space. I wouldn't use the 15mm fans on a radiator though.

The 25s are probably one of the best in category for conventional fans if price is no object but the margin over the competition is really slim.

Thank you all!

I spoke to the gentleman who created the internal mods. He shared that the case alone is not sealed in that way to take advantage of that pull from the top of the case to the bottom. And how the air would get pulled in from all kinds of directions. So, I will leave it be and keep pushing forward with the installation.

I have a cool question / thought to share.

I am using the Jonsplus I100 Pro case. For cooling, the case/system is set up on the top and bottom with the Black Ice 360GS Radatior (29.6 mm) plus the Noctua (25mm) fans. On the bottom, the RAD/Fan combination is 54.6mm.

What if I replace the bottom radiator with a Black Ice 360GTX radiator without placing any fans at the bottom of the case? The RAD is 54mm. Will it have a negative impact on the system? Making the top three fans responsible for all the air movement. I am wondering if inserting a solo RAD only at the bottom of the case would be a good idea. The GTX RAD performs best with sub-800 fan movement. Therefore, the smallest amount of air movement is optimal. The 360GT has a 1200 cooling capacity while the 360GTX has an 1800 cooling capacity.

Personally, I like the increased cooling capacity. I assume that the greater the cooling capacity of the RADs, the more space there is for the cooling to stay cool.

Could this yield better performance?
Hi,
GTS is low speed fan rad = quite build
GTX is high speed fan = overclocking
GTX doesn't shine until it's hit with lots of air
No air or low speed it's pretty much a reservoir hehe

Too bad that testing only goes 1850rpm fan speed. The GTX and Monsta scale well past 2000rpm while the XE hits its limit at 2krpm.

Hi,
For most fans that is max though.
Hell even my ML140 max out at 1600
ML120 max at 2000 though i don't have any rads that slim though I snuck a couple on front of my case in front of 280mm rad though hehe

Yea, most reasonable fan setups will not focus on speeds above 2000rpm, which I was just pointing out that the GTX rad is just nearing its optimal zone. Here's a dual GTX480 setup with Corsair SPL 2000rpm fans cooling a TR 3970x + dual 2080ti. It's a big ass heat load that is sustained for hours on end. I had to swap out the previous XSPC V2 60mm rads because the loop would get saturated after a couple hours.

sorry, was busy and couldnt find the time to "fix' my rig for online use..

@HBSound/maxfly
ignoring temps for a moment, it really depends on the brand.
while most will be set for push, i know that the P series from Arctic (pressure, as in rad use/restricted flow)
works best if used as pull (while the F series (case fans), is set for push).

and most here will use pushNpull anyway, short of space limitations.
