I'm thinking I'm going to keep the eVGA P55 FTW 200 board that I'm trying to sell, assuming it doesn't sell by the end of the weekend. So now I need to figure out what RAM to put in it. It will probably be paired with an i7 860 or 875K(assuming the $300 price tag is true and it comes to newegg soon).

So, which kit should I get. I've goy my eye on these two kits.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 ...

or

G.SKILL ECO Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRA...

However, I'm certainly open to other suggestions in the same price range(max budget of about $125 shipped).

Oh, and I'll be buying two sets to get 8GB.

I remember seeing a set of those GEIL 2133mhz for sale here....Id take those for a OC over either set u listed.

Also erocker has a set of Tridents for a good price;)

Hmmm...I'll definitely think about those tridents, especially if erocker will give me a good price on his and I can buy a second set from newegg.

My question is if the tridents are 9-9-9-24, wouldn't the ripjaws be better at 7-8-7-24? And the ECOs even better for doing that at 1.3v? And what will the ECOs do at 1.65v, I'd think they would overclock like mad, no?

Unlikely the RJs will OC well. Also my tridents can run 2000mhz at 7-9-7-24 ;)

Had a set of ecos to play with, on the GB they were a bag of fail, not sure how they would play on the EVGA. I think Cold Storm had good results with tridents on his EVGA as well.

Myself, I would go with the tridents their one of Gskills best series along with the PiS kits.

I haven't seen any eco's that have preformed well yet. I haven't been to XS in a while but I don't recall seeing anyone but one person have a good set. I believe that was on An asus.. If your thinking volts.. The tridents that Jelly would do great for ya..
