Hi,

Didn't really know where to post this question but found this section appropriate. I would like to know, which windows tablet is capable of running at least one Virtual machine except Microsoft Surface?

few which I would like to mention here are:-

1. Acer iconia W4 64 GB
2. LenovoYoga2
3. HPOmni10Tablet
4. Lenovo Thinkpad 8 Tablet 64GB
5. Asus Transformer Book T100 Tablet

Thanks,
michael.

I have the T100TA,
it can run one Virtual Machine, but the guest OS is not the heavy one, like WS2012 or 2012R2,

Ok, so which OS you are using as guest OS?

im using windows server 2008R2,
it runs without problems, albeit a bit slow.

those are all atom based tablets none of them are going to be much good for a VM
the omni-10 is the best choice among the ones you listed but again atom's just don't have the power to run a VM

They are all capable, it is just a matter of how well it will run. What do you plan on doing with the virtual machine?

Just to keep unix machine at hand any time when i need to try some commands or run some scripts as testing.........., anytime I wish..

They can all do that. The z3470 supports VT-x and even though it is labelled an Atom it isn't terrible like the old Atoms.

Well, I have the ACER Iconia W4 and it supports VM's.

from my experience with newer atoms such as the Z3775 and the Z3740D,
both are plenty fast to do everyday jobs and more.

even playing my browser based flash game, while watching 1080p video, no hiccups whatsoever from the atoms
