I've some more to add to this little lot
Over the last week or so, I've had a few jobs at home to get done before our baby is due (tomorrow now... Should be interesting!! ) and thought I'd share what I've been up to and ask a few things along the way.. I've two cases I'd like to put builds in, so I need to get some ideas for those and also show a few changes I'll need to get some more pictures I'm sure of it, so please bare with me
So as baby was due, there was a few jobs around the house I'd wanted to get sorted a long time before, loft to be boarded out properly and maybe some sort of shelves up there just to I could put things in better places etc So, as you do, about a week or so before baby is due (putting everything to chance ) I set to getting started...
I had some wiring work to do in my conservatory as well as the outside shed I have and the loft for the boarding out.. So firstly, the materials
I also had some Celotex type insulation and some 100x25mm PSE wood, as I needed some fixing for my shed
So some before shots of the loft (I'll try and limit the boring stuff here...)
For not being a master in wood work, I'm pretty pleased how it came out, well ended up being Was awkward as things weren't ever straight straight but as below for the conservatory, we carried on regardless
Now for the conservatory...
As everything was ripped out of the PC room, I had a bit of a change of heart in there as well.. So We had, option 1 and option 2....
Well for the PC room, I went with option 2. I've managed to get rid of a desk as well, so I'm down to 3 desks now which is great as I needed somewhere for baby's cott to go eventually... Gives me 6 months to try and sort things out even further if possible!! Now was trying to decide how to setup the monitors as well...
As you might be able to see a bit of, I have a ThermalTake X9 case there, which is one of the builds I will be asking for some opinions and thoughts with Now on to the next stage.... (I really do hope this isn't boring anyone and if your reading this right now, hats off to you for getting this far!! )
So next up was getting the shed ready and setup for the fixing and then it was back inside for the tidy up....
So shed first... Emptying it...
The finished conservatory..
So as that was all sorted out and then all rushed back inside as I had to go and pick up daughter for the weekend, but my car decided to have other ideas and not blooming start!! Found out today after a few very painful trips in my girl friends car, that it was just a knackered battery in the end (thank goodness....)
So as the shed was all thrown in and such and as Isabelle was down with me, she was being a genuine star helping me out as she hadn't been and still wasn't very well, so I have to add those pics in
Afterwards, she had a little nap whilst I went and moped through the house downstairs as everything had been emptied due to the sheer dust from all the flooring sheets, insulation and whatever else was about...
So as I had also found more hardware in boxes downstairs, I had a job of putting as much as I could up in to the loft... So before and after
Now one of my many questions coming up would be, is hardware ok in attics or should I find somewhere else to put this stuff?? There's some important things still in the boxes (motherboards, PSUs etc) that I obviously wish to keep in tip top condition, will I be ok to leave it up in the loft for a long period of time?
Before I forget, the server cabinet...
Damn that thing is heavy as fudge.....
Behind it, is also a hole drilled through the wall for network cables, so I've been able to put through a few cables for connectivity out there I've yet to set back up my WCG crunchers just yet, but having got a rather high power bill, I'm just trying to run things with the solar at the moment, so I can get my electric costs right down and then see what I can realistically leave on
I'll see if I can get some more pictures up tomorrow of the case and some hardware but since my girl friend is due tomorrow, I might not actually get around to much!!
I'm sorry if this is rather crap at the moment, I hope that it will get better for any and all that are interested in my little projects I'll try and post up as soon as I can
