Why is Condemed not full screen?

I bought Condemned: Criminal origins, I maxed out the settings

and it doesn't go full screen its like when you watch a wide screen dvd, I can set it to weird resolutions and somewhat make it go all the way but then it looks like crap and still has bars at the top and bottom. I go the res at 1280x1024, anybody have this problem?

just keep changing the resolution till it fills the screen like you said .
i think if you look closely when youre changing resolution, it says something like
"not optimised for full-screen" when the resolution leaves bars

Do you mean it has black on the top and bottom of the screen like when u watch a widescreen dvd on a 4:3 tv? thats the way the game is i think... does it with my monitor also.

I had the same as you. Mine was black at the top and bottom. It looks flat.
