Hey all. I am thinking of upgrading to a new monitor. I am not sure of the ratio of resolution vs. gaming performace vs. settings.

I want to get a 21.5" or a 22" max. Is that going to be ok for gaming on my 9800 GTX+, or will it be lagging my frame rate? If so, which resolution/screen size should I be looking into?

Another question is about HD monitors. Are there any downside to HD monitors?

Also VGA vs. DIV?

Here are some monitors I have been chacking out:

All help is much appreciated! :toast:

with your video card i wouldn't go much bigger than 1920:1080 or maybe a bit higher. the physical size doesn't matter, just the resolution.
DVI for sure, no question. just make sure your videocard doesn't need an adapter for it. if it does, it is still the better choice just make sure you have one.

either of those look good but viewsonic i believe is historically a better brand.
