Thanks guys for suggestions I will buy a new board and settle for 16gb that I technically already have but I guess I will have to wait for the refund from ailexpress as I mistakenly put wrong address and canceled it immediately after paying for it looks like it will take a month at this rate, anyone knows if 8+4+4 gb config for z77 can work ?

Yes it will work but you're going to have to run the Rams speed at less o'clock rate and what they are rated for to relieve a strain on the integrated memory controller of the CPU itself when your Run 3 or 4 slots of RAM at a time
