Win11's widget shows temperature as F instead of C

And yes, the OS knows that I live in Finland and I SHOULD have all the normal local settings just as they should be.

Any tips what may cause this? It sometimes shows temps in C for a while, but then it returns back to C. My OS language is US English but every other setting should be for Finnish.

If you have location enabled, it should change to the right format automatically. If you don't, then make sure your localisation settings are right.

Yeah, works for me. It uses a system that we outside America consider sane, including metric system by default

An interesting aside is that some of these settings - like the decimal symbol - could cause problems in certain software, though I don't think there are many of those these days. Moot point either way since both English localizations use the dot.

It does cause problems, for example with a European keyboard layout that has a decimal comma, and UK numerical format (for example, £) in Excel that uses a decimal dot. I have to keep reminding myself not to use the numerical keyboard, or change the layout to UK in such occasions.

Lol, thanks for the tip on this one. I had English (US) all this time, which annoyed me with starting the week on Sunday for some reason. And AM/PM clock instead of 24 hour format. I never bothered to check the legacy CP for English (World) and the Settings Locale tab for some reason doesn’t have it as an option. Intuitive UI, that.
And sure, I guess I could turn on geolocation and lets MS set things up, but I’d prefer not to.
