This post is predominantly for those who are upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8.1. Many of you have already heard about it and have already chosen your course of reparation. Still, I think it is worth some consideration for those who choose to upgrade to Windows 10. There are many links addressing this matter. I will include some of them here.

No one who is switching now will use builds that old.

Here is where you can change it. The setting is called "Improve inking and typing".

That's an option you can flip to off during Windows setup too (one of the seven at the end).

Apart from doing some intensive surgery this could prove an option.

Putting the check marks in during set up is merely a formality IMO. It changes precious little. If anything, saying no to the inking and telemetry etc. amounts to answering a Windows survey. You're still getting the same bill of goods whether you put in the check marks or not. After a critical update go have another look. Some, if not all of those things you said "no" to will be back. Now if Microsoft "fixed" this and you're all good with them saying they did then by all means feel free to ignore everything I shared here. I mean, the check mark is there right? The check mark changes everything, yes? Admittedly, I did the beta on Windows Insider and things do change. Perhaps they've changed significantly since my roll back to Win 8.1. I'm not making any demands on anyone. This is just a "heads up" post for those who want to upgrade. It's not like I keep my bank cards wrapped in aluminum foil or anything but man, you should see my Fedora! ;)
