Windows 10 temp cab files?

lol, I was blaming Daz3d for hogging up most of the space on my 1 Tb HDD so I deleted all of the back-up install packages for it using their install manager. Nooope, that didn't do it, and the math still wasn't adding up vs. what I have installed/saved on the laptop.
So probably for the first time in years, I checked the C:\windows\temp directory and figured I would find a couple Gb in it....
I ended up finding over 550 Gb in freaking CAB files... Needless to say, I cut & pasted the files from windows\logs\CBS to an external drive and just deleted all of the cab files.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop & was wondering if this issue ever crops up on Windows 10 Pro.

Never happened to me in any version of Windows, starting from W2000.

Its suppose to be some kind of bug:

Windows 7 log file compression bug can fill up your hard drive

Microsoft has known about this bug in the Trusted Installer log for years, but done nothing about it
