Noticed a 2-3% performance drop after updating to 2H22, anyone else have insights into this?

Windows 2H22 has hurt performance it seems:

I believe Microsoft has begun enabling memory integrity on supported systems by default which does come with a performance penalty. Do you have it enabled right now? Do you remember if you had it enabled before?

Windows Security > Device Security > Core isolation details > Memory Integrity
can't get to that page

Still trying to even see the Core Isolation settings? ^^

It has to be the overall 2H22 Update. No improvement with Core Isolation > Memory Integrity disabled

Stuff like this has been happening for a while though even on W10, ie, the initial W10 (2015, 2016) benchmarked a little faster than W7 at launch. When I tested 21H2 vs W7 recently (which tech sites haven't done in years), W10 (21H2) was around 1-3% slower than W7 (eg, Winrar = 17662 (W7) vs 16993 (W10) on same hardware). Part of it is bloat (W10 ISO sizes went from 3.7 GB (1511) to 5.5GB (21H2)) and part the Spectre / Meltdown style mitigations / endless "security" stuff like services that exist solely to "watch" that other services don't get disabled. Eg, Windows Update is managed by... Update Orchestrator which is monitored by... Update Medic Service, etc). Perhaps it's more new multi-layered bloat like that to try and stop people retaining their sanity disabling stuff?

Did you manage to disable memory integrity and run the gaming benchmarks again?

it was already disabled and didn't help with 22H2

w/ rolled back 21H2 and approved drivers, performance is restored:
