Before some days i upgraded my PC and now when i connect my PC to my LG TV(which has a 7.1 surround homecinema) so yea i cannot get Surround.

So this is what happens. The selection for the TV output is called DIGITAL AUDIO HDMI and its not called LG TV AUDIO. It means that it doesnt recognise the name of the device and it cannot see that it is a surround device.

Whats going wrong?

thats what i mean

Try ATmos. It mostly works.

What system are you using? Motherboard or sound card specs would help.

(WINDOWS 11)Settings>System>Sound>Choose Where To Play Sound>All Sound Devices. Is your sound system in there?

I am on windows 10

Okay i fixed it by Installing the latest AMD Drivers and then right click on High Definition Audio Device in Device Manager -> Sound video and game controller. Then Update Driver -> Browse Local and important (!) Set the C:\AMD folder (tick subfolders too). It will find the driver in that folder. Done!

Well hey you found it. I was going to suggest newest drivers as the default set included with Windows is lack-luster as you have found out. Nicely done!

It looks like you are using the Microsoft sound driver rather than your gpus. That indeed will limit you to stereo.
