Every time i try to start windows XP pro sp2 my computer restarts before it gets to the boot screen. Please Help.

Restarts before the scrolling WinXP screen?

If you can't get into safe mode run DFT to make sure your disk isn't bad, then if it passes try running a CHKDSK /R from recovery console.

Thanks, and no i can not get into safe mode. but my ide ports don't work so i can't boot off of this.
