Installed win XP x64 professional, everything was fine until i decided to install the drivers for my cable modem afterwards, however it did not work due to compatibility.

Is there an option in winxp x64 that will allow me to revert back to 32bit mode and install the driver for the modem?, thanks.

if u click on the modem or the program that runs it i beleive u go to properties bo to the compatability tab and select windows xp..

Thanks, dont think that will work?

The modem runs directly from the motarola USB drivers, and does not have any additional software which will allow me to enter an compatibility mode.

hm go into my computer and see if u can change the compatibility in their other than reinstalling the drivers and making sure u have usb 2.0 i cant help u im running 32 bit...sooo

Thanks Solaris,

I've actually given up, iam either going to return back to XP 32-bit, or wait in the hope that Motarola release some beta 64bit drivers:<

ok sorry to here that btw u should put up a sig w/ ur comp components i like reading them and u have a 64bit sys so naturally im instrested....but id just hang in their until 64 bit drivers..unless the drive is necissary...and id email motarola and ask them what they plan to do.

I read somewhere that there is a driver modification to convert 32-bit drivers to 64-bit drivers via editing the .NFI file.

Sounds a bit complex, anyone know any more information about this?
