Hey guys,
Have the following setup:
Linksys wrt310n router
Linksys wga600n on xbox360
Dlink dwa-552 extreme n desktop card in computer listed in system specs.
I had a perfectly fine wireless-g network but decided to upgrade to n to stream video from media center to xbox. However, the bandwidth isn't even close. Spent about an hour on the phone with Linksys tech support doing and undoing the same stuff, and they finally told me to go to Microsoft's website as the problem is not the router. I find this hard to believe. However, after rebooting everything, my desktop's connection speed has changed from 54mbps to 130mbps, but it still isn't connecting fast enough to stream video. Now wondering if the problem isn't the wga600n on the xbox.
Also, WMC will not run network tuner. It says it can't connect to extender (xbox), even though it is connected. I can see media center on xbox, it's just too slow.
Any ideas?
