i was installing a new ram so when talking my old one out it was kinda stuck for some reason may be dust so i had to like wobble it a bit and pull a bit hard so im afraid that my ram or slot got damaged i installed the new one and its working fine so i wonder is there is a chance that any part got damaged so they would work but with lower performance or there is no such thing like this
sry if its stubid question

If normal desktop memory or slot is damaged somehow there is a chance it will work but not will be stable. Depends on the damage, not all things are connected/needed in the memory slot.
If it is an ecc memory it can correct some of the errors made by the damaged or missing components (but that is a low chance) .
I have a 16gb ecc reg memory that missing some smd-s and it is working and memtest stable but much slower because of the constant error correncting.

you can always test it, no point in guessing.

If there is a problem with the memory chip, the computer will run but not be stable. You will get a continuous Blue Screen.

You run benchmarks that test memory performance and compare it to other systems that have your exact config

I just went through a similar situation with two matched sticks of G.Skill DDR3 2133. If I ran AIDA64 stress test with no memory tested, it'd work fine. But... if Iran the the memory test (it's checked on by default), AIDA64 would throw an error within a few minutes. If I ran JUST the memory test, AIDA64 would throw an error within a minute. I had two other good matched sticks that worked fine. As soon as one or the other sticks was installed, I'd get the same fail result.

I guess for me if it doesnt BSOD or freeze up in games/programs it's stable.

physical damage is pretty much straight forward "will not work again" if its in the wrong area.
