Wrong Graphics card Name Affecting Performance?

I have an Hp Envy 15 3090 Notebookk PC and it comes with the AMD Radeon 7690m. In device manager and in GPU Z however the card shows as 'AMD Radeon 6600m and 6700m Series'. The intel and amd drivers I have were downloaded automatically when I installed windows 8.1 so I haven't downloaded any drivers from their respective page. Everything works fine, switchable graphics works great however I wonder if my graphics card is being slowed down because windows think I have the 6600m and 6700m series. So is my graphics card not working at its full potential because of this? If it isn't then how do I fix it? Thanks in advance.

No, it has no effect. It's purely there for display purposes

Yes I have the catalyst software suite which is in the link you sent since windows 8.1 installed it automatically, I tried downloading the other driver listed in the link but every time I try to install it at the end my screen goes black and I cant fix it, only if i do a system restore. As far as i know that updated version only changes user interface.

I had this happen to an older laptop of mine, as long as they both show the same series (6/7) things are fine - in my case the IGP upgraded to 7 series and the dedicated stayed 6 series, which broke crossfire.

as long as they both match up and everything works, leave it alone.
