x1950xtx trouble, software/hardware?

Hi im having trouble with my card, it just suddenly froze the screen and then it went black.
ive checked it to se if there was any cooling problems or maybe water from the wc but its fine.

But when i checked event logger it seemes like maybe its something wrong with the bios on the card, can the bios go fubar just suddenly without no reason?

i get an red cross in system logger and it says: "MODE: GXO Execute BIOS Table Error"
and also its a yellow triangle witch says: "DFP failed to execute AtomBios"

and it ati2mtag wich reports both...

ive also tried the card in both 16x slots on my mb, ive tried catalyst 7.1, 6.12 and the original on the cd(dont remember the version). Also tried latest omega driver.
Right now im running the card without driver cus that works okay (it lockes up after some hours). My old pci card wont work with my screen, it just says "not recomended resolution" bla bla grrr

Im thinking about trying to flash the bios, but cant find x1950xtx at all in the bios list.

oh this is so frustrating, right now i cant even afford a 7300gs card....

well you only listed one spec out of all your hardware , but from what you just said I would guess you dont have .NET installed ..ATI CCC can not run correctly with out .NET and 7.1CCC uses .NET1 and I believe the 6.12 CCC uses .NET2 and now M$ has .Net 3 for download.

i dropped ccc, but .net2 is innstalled.

But this is a 3 week old innstall of xp pro, and i used drivercleaner when i tried the different drivers

U see, i havent done anything with the card for a couple of month, only thin i have done in a couple of month is reinnstall of os when i got my raptor disk..

its not ur drivers, im guessing the card u bought is faulty?? i dunno, there cna lots or factors involved

yes, there can be alot of things...

Oh this is so annoying. Its like it would have been better if it died because i oced it too much or something, cus then i atleast would have known what caused it...

oh my, now i tried with the machine completely at stock. been 11mins now and still going strong.
before it didnt last a minute... lets pray.

Well it hasnt failed yet. But i cant play, wow fails the moment i start it up, something memory related it seemes. and cs also failed after a couple of minutes..

Maybe my ram is failing?

have you checked you volts on atitool?

seemes like it was all ram problems instead. ive removed 1 stick and now i have been able to play wow++ without errors

im gonna test some more around ram...

I have the same problem. My card is a Sapphire Radeon x1950 pro 512mb.
it seems that it has something to do with Shaders.
Try playing FEAR. The same will happen. Then go to options and mark the box "FORCE USING DX8 SHADERS" or smtg like that. Set any other options to Max.
Done. It will not crash anymore.
Now try Call of Duty 4. It will crash.
Then install ATI Tray Tools and set pixel/vertex override to 2.0! Set all to Maximum in game.
It will take a lot longer to crash, u can even plays some levels ...
can someone with more knowledge help?
I think all we can do is use the warranty though =/
