Hi all,
My "old" ASUS X800np has died, so I bought a new Sapphire X800GTO2 with VIVO and two DVIs. I was supprised when I saw 16 pipes in AtiTool. It said that it has R430 core and it is X800XL  I read some articles on internet and found out that this is normal. New GTO2s are sold with special "X800XL R480" bios :shadedshu with unlocked 16 pipes. I was looking forward to unlock the pipes myself, so I was a bit confused. The worst thing is that these new cards do not have such a huge overclocking potential as older GTO2s. My max stable clock is 505 core 530 mem (temperatures do not go over 55°C under high load, I have AC ATI Silencer). Thats not much for GTO2. When I go higher I do not get any artifact, but everything freezes, I can only move with mouse :). I have not seen any artifacts with this card yet . I heard that the other new GTO2s are even worse. Does anyone has explanation for this? It seems that my only hope is VoltMod.
