X800XL Gigabyte with passive Cooler

Hi,
ATItool shows me 60° GPU and also 54° for the GPU environment for Idle. Is this Celsius or Fahrenheit? I think for Celsius it was a little hot, eh?

My Mainboard shows 21° Celsius as in Case temperature! After recalc for Fahrenheit it doesn´t match the 54° from ATITool????? That was the matter?

The "enviroment" temp registered by the card isn't the air temp but the actual PCB temp around the sensor so it will most likely read higher.

With a Zalman ZM80D-HP and ZM-OP1 fan I run 71C gpu and 53C environment under load with ATITool. 78F room temp.

OK, than its Celsius. But it doesn´t match the real temperatures. I started my cold PC now. Room is 22° Celsius and the MB show it right. The cold GPU should be the same temp. But ATITool shows me 46°????
How about the difference?

The colf GPU isnt the same temperature, it gets very hot, very quickly

When i first put my PC on, it sits at about 28c, but within 2/3 minutes it can be up to 35c, and my case them is still at 22c

And you really need to get a better cooler anyway, if you havent alreday got one, one one are you using atm?
