Ok, I currently have a Sapphire x850xt (not crossfire edition). I am looking to buy a Sapphire x850xt Crossfire edition card. I was curious on the performance upgrade of the 2 crossfired cards. What is the percentage 100% being just 1 sapphire x850xt not overclocked.

well they say in a perfect world you would get double, which would be 200% for you. but its not perfect, however in alot of benchmarks i've seen the scores are never far off from double for the most part. i'd be willing to bet you'd see 160-175% of your current performance although i cant be certain.

in other words dont bother buying a crossfire mobo and PSU thats strong enough for crossfire and an additional video card for crossfire.

just buy a x1900 youll get real solid performance, with no extra variables.

trust me i made the same mistake, i bought a x1600xt, for $170 when they were newer.
now i spend an additional $30 on a crossfire mobo, and $30 on a PSU powerful enough for crossfire. if i buy an additional x1600xt to use in crossfire it would be about $128.

so total i spent ~$360 for performance somewhere inbetween an x1800xl and x1800xt.

a single x1800xt will outperform my two x1600xt. i can buy a saphire x1800xt for under $300 retail from newegg.

i would have saved myself $60, alot of hassle for finding crossfire specifications and required hardware, AND gotten better performance.

so, unless your like me and, already bought a crossfire mobo and PSU, dont do it...its in no way worth it.

that would be ok but I just bought a crossfire mobo for $50 <-- from a friend and I already have a good enough PSU. So I will only be paying for the video card... which will be a little over 200 i believe. and a little over 250 total with the mobo.

Would this card perform better than 2 crossfire x850 cards? Also does this card have more than 16 pixels becasue I know a lot of ati cards have more pixels than what is capped in the bios.

i think the if u sell your x800/850 card and buy the 1800xt u will following the sensible path.. the next move up would be a 1900xt..

avoid anything with LE.. GT.. GS.. only xt and xtx are the real thing.. the rest are cripples of some kind..
