I saw that same special on Newegg. I don't know how good of a deal that is since it isn't a DDR3 version of the 5550. Since its only DDR2 I don't know if it would be that great of card. I would think it would be comparable to a 8600 GT or 9500 GT but not much better.

The 4650 is only ddr2. Its the 4670 that has ddr3 (or should at least). Such is the same as 5550 and 5570. Hence why I said it is a 4650 with DX11.

Gddr5 is suppose to supplant all ddr2 and ddr3 5550 and 5570 cards anyway. If you just looking for a upgrade over on board, for 40 bucks its hard to beat.

If anyone is concerned about it being a ddr2 over a ddr3 card should just get at least a 5670. Gddr5 is what helps the 5670 clean the floor with the 5550 and 5570.

Not so. there are alot of 64 bit DDR2 4650's out there. The one in my G/F's Rig in my sig is a DDR2 version.

I was looking at Newegg when I posted that. 13 vs 3 hence why I assumed this.

Alot? I see a Powercolor on Newegg. I know there are 64 bit and 128 bit 4350s.

Umm Sapphire also makes one as do a cpl other lesser companies. For example here the Sapphire one Sapphire HD 4650 512MB DDR2 HDMI DVI VGA Out PCI-E... . A search on NewEgg only isnt really much of a statement....
