So, I guess I'm a little overwhelmed by all this.

Last time I overclocked video cards, it was an X800gto that I turned into an X850 by unlocking the quad and using ATITool to overclock.

Basically, started with AMD Overdrive using CCC 10.12. Obviously I wasn't happy to see the clocks limited to 775/1125, and no ability to adjust the voltage. I then started reading up on RBE, which brings me here.

Is this all I need to do?:

1. change the gpu/mem clock in 00 to what I want
2. change mem clock in 04 and 05 to match mem clock in 00
3. save
4. flash
5. test

Honestly, I'm not finding the tutorial or FAQ to be all that helpful, (it's very late for me so I am tired).

Is there no way, other than a volt mod, to change the voltages on my card?

I plan to use winflash since I have an integrated vid card if flashing goes bad, but would like to get some solid advice first anyway.

Thanx for the help

Have you tried installing Msi Afterburner and unlocking voltage control. You just might be able to adjust the voltage. If not, RBE is the only way to change voltage.

Someone on Newegg replied:
"Now with Sapphire TriXX software you can tweak voltage on this card."
Try installing that, and report back if it works.

its has no voltage suport :(

not a ref card

I am aware of that, but as i said a person who bought this card replied that Sapphire TriXX software now supports woltage tweaking with this card.

I used to have a xfx hd4870 which was not a reference design, but eventually i could tweak the voltage too. The card used a cheap voltage controller, but it got supported eventually!

can't download the software without registering a sapphire product, not to mention the site lists the software for 6xxxx series only

EDIT: found a version, hmmm, may actually work

does allow you to raise gpu and mem above the lock, verified in gpu-z

Ok, seems Trixx does change gpu clock, mem clock, AND GPU Voltage

Only way I could tell is by monitoring temps, still, awesome

this thread can go the wayside

You can use the yellow smileing Thanks button if you wish, ;)

I am glad i could help!

nice, thats what forum is for..
Happy oc ing

again, thanx, here's a screenshot of my final OC on the stock cooler, updated my system specs too
