Here are some of the first pictures of XFX Radeon RX 470 Double Dissipation, the company's premium RX 470 offering. The card features a dual-slot custom-design cooling solution, featuring an aluminium fin-stack heatsink to which heat drawn from the GPU is fed by copper heat pipes; and dissipated by a pair of 90 mm spinners. Also featured is a back-plate running the length of the PCB. The card draws power from a single 6-pin PCIe power connector. Display outputs include three DisplayPort 1.4, and one each of HDMI 2.0b and dual-link DVI. The card is expected to launch on the 4th of August, 2016.

That's one very nice looking card, good backplate & imo that cooler looks pretty dam good. Kudos to XFX on the design.

Hmm, so they are using the X shape boxes again.

Nice that the card comes with a backplate.

Nice card, but I like the box even more :pimp:

Ah, that box brings back memories!

Alpha Dog Edition Box :O

Price will judge it's success or not. Especially outside of US.

nice looking card. That box is so nostalgic.

i think this will be too expensive for its own good.. i mean why get this and not the cheapest 480? because of the stupid cooler and back plate?.. pointless..

where I'm from they don't sell reference 4GB RX 480. The only 4GB I mighth see are aftermarket one with fancy cooler backplate etc...

well, regardless, if this card costs the same as the cheapest 480 (or its very close, like 20$) i would get this over the 480, that was my point.

im buying one just for the box... anyone else?

Decided to get 8GB RX 470 instead of RX 480. (RX 460 is nerfed too much imo.) Though I want a smaller card than this huge XFX model.
