Hello.
Please put those cards in a windows environment and make a picture for each of them in GPU-z.
I need those pictures along with the one with the memory chips you already posted above.
From what i see in HiveOS i noticed that it is not the original BIOS right now.
So in order to find an exact match for them, please put those pictures i requested.
HiveOS shows us that you have Samsung chips on both of them, on the other hand in your pictures you show us one with Hynix. So something is wrong here.
Cheers

What is the deal with using hive os?

Well, to be short : it is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu, made especially for mining rigs.
It not only stable but is is intuitive and easy to use.
An interesting feature that offers is mixed rig (using both type of cards AMD + NVIDIA in same rig)
Another interesting feature is that you can choose which card mine which coin.
Using for 1 rig is free of charge, using multiple rigs must pay.

Interesting enough i see so many bad flashes or config problems with it the only solution is to use Windows to fix it.

Their website https://hiveon.com/guides-what_is_hive/ says this, bold font from me :) -->

True. i have a dedicated computer for testing purposes and for flashing the cards.
I use only that computer with a dedicated amd driver and I disabled windows updates.
I never ever use HiveOS to flash a card.

Yeah i totally hate auto updates or automatic driver downloads in Windows 10/11, i need to figure out how to disable it, then use ddu and driver removers to install the chipset and gpu on this Ry7 5800 b550 rig with R7 250X. ms drivers are rubbish

For example i am using win 10 20H2 version.
and i disabled permanently updates.
Here you have the whole procedure:

To disable automatic updates on Windows 10 permanently, use these steps:

  1. Open Start.
  2. Search for gpedit.msc and click the top result to launch the Local Group Policy Editor.
  3. Navigate to the following path:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update
  4. Double-click the Configure Automatic Updates policy on the right side.

  5. Check the Disabled option to turn off automatic updates permanently on Windows 10.
  6. Click the Apply button.
  7. Click the OK button.

After you complete the steps, the system will stop downloading updates automatically.
However, the ability to check for updates manually will continue to be available on Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update, and clicking the Check for updates button to download the most recent patches.
