Good? Bad? Otherwise?

One of my old 4890's had the fan crap out and I just filed a support ticket. Just curious how their support system is.

I know their fans crap out alot lol

It's a reference fan, identical to the ones on my Sapphire 4870's. I had the heatsink assembly apart to see if there was something rubbing on the blades. Same part number as the 4870 fan.

well, when I called XFX support, I noticed something: The people seem less professional, but more friendly

only asked for a response from them once and they replied within 24hours. I did get another e-mail of them one other time if i tried accessing my account and if not let them know asap in which they thanked me for with in 24 hours all so lol.

I have XFX ever since nvidia 7950gt and they are great. I have their black edition 5850 and works like a charm. THe fan however, makes some wierd noises here and there. But, that's not too much to worry about. They have double lifetime warranty and one of my bridges just died and i am getting new ones for free

I've done XFX RMA and so far I'm very pleased with their service.

One of my cards is warrantied by XFX, good to hear it shouldn't be a problem if it ever needs to be RMA'd.

I had an RMA w/an XFX 4830. Turn around was quick, like 4 tech's helped me. And they didnt care much about the card being shipped from another address nor shipped to another address.

They're RMAing my card. I am bit miffed that I have to eat the shipping though. Gonna be a few bucks to ship to California. Logitech sent me preprinted UPS labels to send my broken mouse in.

XFX was verygood to me when I had my 7600 GTs. Something I noticed then....if you arent getting a reply, one star your service in the support ticket, that usually throws a flag for attention;)

All the replies I got were very prompt.

on the other end, once I got my RMA # and shipped, it was about 2-3 weeks till I saw another card.

Not every company pays for shipping. Some companies pay for shipping on small items, but I just paid $5 for shipping my SSD back to Corsair that I wont recoup. Wish I could have one being sent to me right now, good thing turn around with them is lightning fast.
