Nope. It's actually easier to clean than AS5, iirc.

I have the same cooler.I didnt put the supplied paste.I NEVER do.
I just put some AS5 and it works great.Its as simple as that.
Do that.

THe thing that sucks about AS5 is the cure time. 200 hours with heat cycling. Heat cycling is where you run your rig for a few hours to get it nice and hot, then leave it off for several hours so it cools down to ambient temp.
To cure AS5 properly could take as long as 2 weeks. Thats why a lot of the other TIMs are better. ICD7 requires less than 2 hours, OCZ freeze doesn't require any IIRC.

if you feel ok with tinking with stuff like this you should be fine

mx-3 > mx-2 not sure thats why want try and get back to TPU. if you like new egg just get mx-2 that will lower temps

yes it helps in small and filled up cases also helps so that you are not drawing hot air from the graphics card. you have to be the judge at what temps you are happy with
