Anyway i have got this £10 one i got from the local market working.Yeah, you never know with 20~year old PC hardware.
I did that but no change.But i did change, cpu ,but when i got the the cpu i could not lift the unit that have to lift up i hard to force it unfortunately getting it back on there i must have hit some pinsClear CMOS and see if it boots. Could be whatever CPU settings or memory was in before is still saved.

you are right there,Can you see if i hit any pins trying to the cpu holder back on there?That Snow man heatsink cooler is a pain to get on and off.I hope the q9450 cpu i got on ali express is not faulty it looks fine to me.Socket 775, so not 20 years old yet, unless you're talking about pre-Core2!

E8600? Looks more like that model! A nice x10 multi on a Wolfdale! (45 nm Core 2 Duo)Anyway i have got this £10 one i got from the local market working.All be it with the standard cooler, that snow man cooler was a pain to get on the other board.I got two of them but the other ones fan came off ,no matter how i try to get it back on there it does not want to go.
