Hi all,
nice to meet you.
MOBO : ASUS X670e EXTREME
CPU: Zen4 7700x!
i am trying to lower TEMPS by 20 degrees. i have tried to enable AMD ECO MODE but it doesn't work. i tried all ways. 1: Ryzen Master NO REsult 2: BIOS AMD ECO MODE No Result. 3: BIOS MANUAL SETTING PBO NO RESULT!
Minimum temp with ASUS RYUJIN II is 70 degrees

in RYZEN MASTER i have put these values manually (don't know how good they are)
Volt: 1.25 isntead of 1.35 and CPU clock Speed: 4.2 GHZ instead of 4.5

still, the temps are higt at minimum 55 degrees!

Questions: what can i do to achieve less than 50 degrees STABLE with sacrificing the least perfomance.
am I in danger of destroying my CPU with the above settings?
Any suggestions to lower temps?

Thermal paste bad application, AIO maybe needs AM5 adapter to fit properly? Are the temps the same if you do a CMOS clear and not change anything in BIOS?
You probably aren't damaging it with 55-70 idle, but it's still too much as my 7950x idles at 40-45°C.
Are you using the iGPU, tried disabling it? Maybe browsing without hardware acceleration is putting load on the iGPU.

Why do you need it to run at 50C ? I don't think there any way to achieve without some extreme measures like a chilled loop.

I don't think ECO mode will change idle temps. The "Max" safe temp under load is 95c according to staff on the AMD forum. 55c appears to be a fairly normal idle temp.

So you did the following:

To access this option, open up UEFI BIOS and activate Advanced Mode. Navigate to the Extreme Tweaker tab and select Precision Boost Overdrive.

UEFI BIOS settings for PBO Enhancement showing the dropdown menu for users to select their preferred temperature level

In the menu that opens, select “Enhancement” from the Precision Boost Overdrive dropdown. Then, select one of the three preset thermal limits. Level 1 will set the maximum target temperature to 90° Celsius, a modest step down from the default 95° Celsius. Levels 2 and 3 lower the maximum CPU temperatures more aggressively, down to 80° and 70° Celsius, respectively.

And that’s it—save your settings and exit BIOS. You’re good to go.

….and it had no effect on temps whatsoever?
