Just to be clear and fair. Those stats never include digital content delivery. They only count brick and mortar sales. Steam, D2D, Impluse, EA store, Microsoft store are all excluded.

Consoles sell more then PC thats just a fact. My point is PC's don't sell near as bad as everyone says however. NPD doesn't count digital purchases. They only count brick and mortar. The bulk of PC games are bought digitally.

Now I am not saying they sell anything equal to consoles. What I am saying is they sell a LOT more then what is shown on average in sales charts. Savvy?

. Think about it. They currently allow you to buy different console skus (even without a HD). With an added sku to purchase a HD. Why couldn't they take it further by offering a slot for Ram and an added sku for memory module (for example). Now you would have new skus for HDs and Ram (example). Will developers still be saying that PC is the future?

For whom though? What if the next gen fully supports all new games for digital download? An xbox live "all in one" for both PC and Consoles (not saying that all new titles will be offered on PC). Now lets make up some specs for the next gen console:

So what is the point of the article exactly then (rhetorical)? If the interview suggested that developers are banding together to support PC exclusivity then perhaps it would be of something to note. However, when you read articles suggesting that a developer is looking for next gen consoles it, IMO, causes pause as to how the future is being viewed.

Its being viewed as it is now. Consoles are long in the tooth and if developers want to continue to get new buyers and "wow" factor they are going to have to start expanding into more PC development. If nothing else but to practice for the next generation of consoles.

This is just DICE's way of letting everyone know their reasoning behind the port down for BF3 and not the usual port up.

Because as usual the console will become stale and the creative juices will need a "new" platform. The PC. Some developers will be content with stagnate development (Halo, CoD) and some will want to push the envelope (DICE, Valve). The latter is what is good not only for PC development but also for consoles.

I mean how many Maddens and Halos can you play until you say "I want something new". Welcome to PC gaming brother. We welcome you with Minecraft and BF3. :laugh:
