I think some people need to realize that it is against the posting guidelines to post single word/useless posts. This can very well be carried over to the B/S/T forum. The intent of the current posting guidelines for the B/S/T forum are for example, if you are interested in an item and you are bumping the thread to show interest. The current practice of some members bumping multiple threads is something that is borderline spam and I'm beginning to think this type of behavior needs to be dealt with. Lack of respect for other members of this forum is also something that is going to be dealt with. The system isn't really broke, but some members are doing a great job at trying to break it/exploit it.
It's not a respect issue at all or rather a lack of, it is out of respect for friends that threads are bumped not to piss people off, or to cheat the system, or to be malicious in any manner.
I'm going to be straight and to the point. No punches pulled, [H] just leave. You are arguing just for the sake of thinking you are right when obviously not. I'm not a mod I know this but use your damn common courtesy for others. Hey if you want go ahead and start bumping my thread. I guarantee you won't see me bump my own thread if you do it for me. Again, common courtesy, this isn't a democracy here at TPU. If the mods are requesting for you to stop excessive bumps then stop, have you purchased anything recently from the members you bumped? Show me those evals if so. Thank you for listening and cheers to your short stay.
Um this is a democracy, as pointed out by others, it's a community. Also please calm down this is not meant to be personal, yet you are taking it as such, you say I am wrong, but that's your opinion, which like myself you are entitled to have. Also my actions are just that, mine, and if they are unacceptable to the mods then that is between them and myself, not for you to dictate my actions. So do please stick your attitude in your left ear.
Cant we all just get along?
The point is this and simply this. Erocker starts a thread to gauge the popular thought on an issue we saw. This was done so that everyone would hopefully mellow out with the actions. It was never made to be personal, and it was never made to get panties all in a bunch. It was simply done to curb unwanted activity, and I have to say more or less it has been successful with what it has done.
To be very blunt, I don't see why people take this personal. Its a thread about love and peace at TPU, versus the moderation staff going silly with warnings and points to members to solve the issue, or straight out changing the "rules" on members.
@ JR, please don't!
Agreed, this was an opportunity for both sides to be heard, yet some chose to turn it into a chance to be butt hurt for no reason.
