You select a game from the drop down selection list and it will analyze your system if you meet the system requirements for that game. It shows a graphical interface whether you passed for the minimal requirement or the recommended requirement. If you fail, it will recommend what you can do to make your system meet the requirements. I like it because it is accurate in its analysis of the games I play.

What do you think?

I tried Age of Conan and it recommended me to use Windows Vista for the recommended spec. Do I even need Vista to play it on the highest setting?

yeah, it tends to be quite a bit off sometimes -

for shits and giggles, I had it check to see if my rig (see specs) could run Crysis, and it places my setup below the recommended specs (BTW, it rates my video card*s* as "fail" because I don't have an nVidia Geforce 8800 GTS or better :wtf:).

It's a good rule of thumb, though, but not to be taken for gospel. Even if your rig has a hard time handling a game, the game itself can usually be tweaked to the point where it will run decent.

+1 to that, just use it as a basis for the specs but don't believe in what it says... Heck Oblivion b4 was said to be a system killer but now it has tweaks to be able to run by a low end machine, so is crysis it could be run by low end machines just play with settings and see.. There are lot of you tube vids about this lol.. Back on topic meh just believe your self (IMHO most guys/gals here build their own rig, soooo if you think it can run a game, it can :banghead: dunno what I said but most ppl here have self made rigs :D)

If I am going to make sure that a game is going to work, I go to Yougamers and they have a better showing of what your system can do. Overclocked and all. Also tells you if you do need to update, what to do and so forth.
Plus the website is all PC games.

I don't really trust it since it says I can't run crysis because of my HDD and that Rainbow 6 vegas 2 will run better than the old vegas
