Dead Space 2 Vsync problems

Hi,
It turns out that V sync is capped at 30 FPS. I managed to bypass this by forcing V sync in Catalyst Control panel. Now I get proper 60 FPS. The thing is that camera shutters at some points mostly in lighted areas and makes the game unplayable. Anyone else experiencing this?

And we though EA would learn from Dead Space 1. They haven't fixed the original and they again released broken sequel. How dumb is that?!

What drivers are you using? I get awful FPS drop in NFS Hot Pursuit with Catalyst 11.1 and 11.1a.
With Catalyst 10.10e everything works perfectly.

I am using the newest 11.1 because i thought that installing the latest drivers would solve the problem but it didn't. Haven't had any problems with first Dead Space except that game pad camera (right stick) was a bit too sensitive but it was bearable.

Try playing it with a mouse and you'll soon see what we mean.

turn vsync off in game and leave CCC alone
I get 170+FPS and no shutters or tearing

"Disable Vsync ingame.

Use D3DOverrider to force Vsync and TripleBuffering in DirectX games. (CCC and Nvidia Control Panel only force Trip Buff in OpenGL)

Presto. 60 fps constant with V-Sync enabled. (This method cures all mouse movement issues in Dead Space 1 as well.)"

Dead Space 2

Let's hope this will work.Thanks

Well D3DOverrider in Riva Tuner works fine but CCC doe's the same thing just without Triple-buffering (little difference if any). I simply started experimenting with graphical settings: Instead using 1080p changed to 720p and decreased shadow level to high. Some micro shuttering appears occasionally but its barely noticeable. I've read some forums and find out that HD 4870 owners have other similar problems with this game. At last I have proper V sync - playing without it just ruins the game experience.

Monday night I disabled Vsync within the game and played for 2hrs without tearing w/ Fraps showing 99-173FPS. Played pretty much all day and still no tearing.

Is this one of those awkward games that screws up with AMD but not nvidia?

Before anyone flames me, I have no idea, because I don't have DS1 or DS2, lol. Just curious.

As far as I know, in the first game, vysnc was screwed for everybody, irrespective of class, race, sexuality, occupation or graphics card. I have no idea about the sequel.

I handled the game extreme well with V-sync on.

I believe they already fixed the mouse issue when V-sync is on now.
