Thanks a lot guys!

I did in fact used a higher resolution screen before (Acer GN246HL 24" - and still have it actually), but i'm really comfortable with a 19" and will be sticking to that as much as i can.

I was just trying to achieve full performance (with AA and AF) on 900p with my setup, but the 7850 was really not up for that job, even on 900p. I really do not understand what more else i can do with my cpu with @ 4.00Ghz at the moment, i'm playing on 900p for god's sake, how much more i need to go ?

A card like 7850 2GB have problems with current, even past titles. I'm sure as hell it won't be able to fully handle games like GTA 5, Dragon Age Inq. or Far Cry 4.

I'm going to try my luck with a GTX 970 and see how it goes. If that won't achieve what i need, i'll just give up from there and move on..

Thanks so much for everybody again,

Regards.

Cpu load doesn't increase at lower resolutions, the bottleneck is simply more apparent because you're less gpu bound.
Actually, when the GPU spend less time rendering and frames come out faster, the extra frames is what makes the CPU overhead higher in relation to the GPU. The bottleneck shifts.

Actually, I think I do. Lets review.
Because it is enough for me. And another reasons I am not comfortable to tell.
It's because he's poor and think he can pay for food and bills with 70 USD a month.
My income is just $70 /month on average...
Oh, children.
The "child" is paying bills and food with that.
That's not living, that's being homeless or living in someone's basement. There is absolutely no way 60 USD alone could pay for food and bills. I'm calling shenanigans. Someone who has an income of 60 USD a month is either homeless, living in someone else's basement, or returned home to the parental's house, but no one living on their own can live off 60 USD without some other form of assistance. You clearly have electricity and internet, so it makes me wonder how you can afford that too. ;)

For the last 3 years I used a 22 inches monitor, it was a Samsung syncmaster 60hz refresh rate, 2ms so far is fine for me, but last month I did upgrade and bought my first Gaming Monitor
(Asus PG278Q ROG) it costed me 799€ but I am happy with it.

I use my Asus at 120Hz becasue if i set it to 144Hz my GPU runs at high clock speeds even when idle.

I recently bought a new screen. It's a 28" UHD-4K-2K B286HK made by ACER.
It's native resolution is 3840 X 2160. I love how everything looks at this resolution but I had to adjust Icons and fonts to a larger size so that I can see them.
Gaming at that resolution is a little weird for me because everything is much smaller than I am used to. I use a pair of R9-280X OC cards in Crossfire to drive it.

I have downloaded some 4K Res Movies and played them and this is where it really shines. Wow!

All of my other screens are 27" 1920 X 1080 and that works better for me for gaming.

Hmm, I don't know, what other games are you playing?

cause a setup of i5(@4.0Ghz like you said) + 7850 + 8 GB RAM on a 900p seems pretty good enough for me. GTX 670 is great, but 7850 is also a decent card, Although I would recommend a 7870 or it's Rx series equivalent. I use one and I can run any game almost maxed.

Maybe you have a virus? Maybe hardware/software/heat/clock-rate throttling issues? Have you tried a clean reformat?(although it's a hassle to do)

Maybe you are maxing it out too much?, cause there are other settings that could really hurt performance for only a short visuals gain(some not even noticable). Even driver settings/options could mess up performance

Take for example anti-aliasing, I never max out that option, I only use like 2X or 4X, and I don't see much difference between them and the maximum setting available, maybe unless you take a screenshot and look closely for a minute. And it hurts the performance so much.

Try thinkering with the games settings, Maxing out everything isn't always the best option. Even if you have the best of setups.

7850 + 2500k works great in my experience. Turn your detail down. Usually I can run medium and 1080P on the 7850 and have a great framerate. High and Ultra will run but frame rate is most important to me. Once you are engrossed in the game the graphics don't matter much.

edit: If you are having trouble running 1440x900, same goes, try turning detail down. You shouldn't be having that problem but the fix is the same.

That's what I was saying. The cpu bottleneck comes into play because you can achieve much higher frame rates. It doesn't mean you need more cpu power with a lower resolution. Unless OP's idea of "playable" is >120fps, there is no way he's cpu limited.

It is possible.

I just have to pay electricity, internet and food... I have my own house and just need to pay a small yearly tax.

Electricity bill: ~$30
Internet: ~$20
Food: $20 /month ("real" food only)

Food is cheap here.

See, I can live with $70 /month in my country. Don't know about yours.

No such thing as overkill in the PC biz, excepting maybe a 1000w PSU for those resisting the idea of multi GPU, esp considering the trend of die shrinkage and processors being less power hungry as we go forward.

The ironic thing here though is the term "future proof" is just as abused and overused as overkill. What many don't talk about too is it's very hard to time a GPU purchase to be both high end and bang for buck, and bought when needed most.

It's impossible to predict when there will be a string of power hungry or well optimized games, or even what the solution will be to make them run better, if a solution even comes at all.

Example, AC Unity. Most thought when they saw the specs that it was either ahead of it's time or very poorly optimized. Turns out a decent driver update makes it run on pretty high settings, even with what Ubi calls minimum spec. And AMD spec no less, even though it's Nvidia endorsed.

Another irony here is you would think the chip vendor endorsing the product would have the best chance to get optimal drivers to the devs for testing and requirement advising, yet in a fairly short amount of time AMD after release outdid them, with no consultation advantage from the dev team.

These kind of things are why it's good to have as powerful a GPU as your budget can reasonably afford. You never know when, why, or how performance issues will pop up, and the more powerful hardware stands the test of time better anyway.

No such thing as overkill in the PC biz, excepting maybe a 1000w PSU for those resisting the idea of multi GPU,
i have a 1000w PSU, and at the moment is overkill for my rig but in a few months it wont be

My XFX Black Edition 850w is a bit too for my mere single 7970 rig, but at build time I was considering multi GPU, which I never pursued.
