needed for now. I'll make a backup first.

kk, i just looked at the memory. its

all the numbers i wasnt sure about(couldnt tell if it was a Q or a 0 for example) are in red.
so... can someone plz reccomend a bios and give me link? :eek:

Can you dump your BIOS and post it here? I have Connect3D X800 GTO Vivo, but i lost my original BIOS file. Unfortunatly, I didnt find appropriate modified BIOS for my ViVo, so i tried with x800 GTO non ViVo. I unlocked the pipes, but lost VIVO support. Tried also with different X800XL, X850 XT PE, but no go.

You can modd it to XT but 16 pipes are not possible for your core with these fuses.

X8OO GTO Fireblade

I have graphics X800 GTO Fireblade. I can flash bios to 16 pipelines, but I have not F in CONFIG_DIE and SUBSTRATE_FUSES. Can I flash bios to 16 pipelines??? :confused:

Here you are your modded BIOS and 3 more XL BIOSes for AGP (one is VIVO because I have no idea whether you have VIVO). Use modified flashrom !!! and DOS boot disk. Use also the following command line flashrom -f -p 0 (zero not o) biosname.bin (rename the names to something short - max 8 symbols.rom)

and as soon as i go to flash i run into a huge problem. error message popped up

Error: Data not erased
ERROR 0FL01

before you ask, i was using the "current BIOS dump_16pipe.bin", and the command line of flashrom -f -p 0 X80016P.bin

Hey guys after searching the forum archives I found that it might be the name we are calling....my command line was

flashrom -f -p 0 800GTO.bin

I will try the following

flashrom -f -p 0 800GTO

Looks like it expects the file extention so you do not need to specify it in the command line...I am not able to get to my machine right now so post if this helped

hm....maybe the BIOSes are just junked? which one did you try? its either that or we just cant flash our cards, which would be most unfortunate

Tried the modded original bios to 16 pipes....tried new name no help.

Also noted that some searches showed to use another flash program...not sure if we have to use flashrom.

i typed in thecommand flashrom -L 0

and it said that it was locked... does this mean whhat i think it does? :cry:
