It's just a massive overstock of a cheap cable.. Honestly with Digital it doesn't make "as" much of a difference, but you can generally pickup cables slightly higher grade than these for around $5-$10 same length and a lot of times free shipping.

The statement is about as accurate as saying SATA or USB cables are digital and the quality doesnt matter. It does. The "fail point" due to interference or cable length is much shorter. It still makes a good difference. Especially in longer runs.
Don't worry it's a very common mistake to think Digital data isn't susceptible to distortion and interference.
The single largest factor to come into play is Jitter and multi conductor timing.
Not enough for a grand majority to really care or sometimes even notice.
You don't really know unless you have heard / seen it better before is the issue.
