Hey All,

I have been a lurker of these forums for a while now and I've finally decided to sign up and get to know the community a little better :) also, my favorite part of the year is coming up, so have decided to hold a bit of a competition, it's not much only $10 (sorry guys) but it should get you a nice drink to enjoy.

I have recently purchased some 2nd hand, that are like new cases and I am wondering a couple of things-

1) What is the brand/model of case ? who makes these?

2) I bought 3 for $50. Have I payed to much for them ?

Really curious, I was gonna just ask the question but decided it was my first forum and after a couple of glasses of wine I am in a very good mood and looking forward to xmas.

merry xmas guys

They're easily Antec with those side panel handles. All three for $50? The cases are over ten years old so it's more of a "do I like what I paid for" type of deal.

Wow this was a lot more popular than I expected...

Could anyone recommend a better case that is larger?

Well, better is highly subjective. What are you looking for in a case?

I have an Apevia Jupiter case that serves its purpose well...it fits my eATX dual-CPU system and has plenty of space, but it's otherwise flimsy, gaudy, and not one I would buy new. Meanwhile, my CM692 houses my 3930k and WC setup pretty well, although I'm sure many would prefer a case with more space or a window. And, depending on the system at hand, an Antec 900 can still be very functional :toast:

Ideally, something a bit bigger.. i was also curious, to weather I was getting a good price on the cases, or if I could get them elsewhere cheaper, i am looking at something new now though. So if anyone can think of a case bigger with better ventilation, would be super cool.

I think you are out competition winner too! so i will send money over to you, enjoy the drink :)

thanks for all the reply guys

Well, I have several systems that are running on cardboard boxes for lack of a case....in which case, something like those would be ideal. And at ~$17 each the value is pretty good IMO.

If you let us know what sort of system you have, it might be easier to suggest a case ;)
It was the most accurate. Unless the OP posted an incorrect image?! o_O

Because what [Ion] posted is not.
The one that Arjiai posted is just a rebadged, re-colored version of what I posted. Except with USB ports, which Sally's cases seem to lack (at least based on the picture she provided).

The little square, on her photo, is probably the same as the square on mine, covering the USB's....

also, the Athena is the same as the 1030 and the Cheiftec. So, we are all three correct. $3.33, please.

One that's just taller I'm not sure why you'd go for....something kinda the same is the Antec 1200, but it's not really the same (big open front w/ lots of fans).

So does the Chenming and Chieftec cases. Lets just say I have a few.

Right call

Yes a Raidmax Vampire Drawfs those cases. Don't mind the crappy pics.

Nice cases, I like that one to the right, it looks a tad bigger and looks like it would have better ventilation too?

It has great ventilation, excellent cable management and water cooling support. My build thread with that case is here.

Older interior shot. The gpus and mobo have been swapped out and it's under water now. With a different psu.

Also the corsair graphite 780t's are nice big case with great ventilation
