1k usd budget. which one?

need advice. my lovely wife gave me 1k budget. if you were me, which one? full watercooling loop or eyefinity 1600p. im kinda leaning more to wc cause handling heat and noise of my gpu's are. urgh. dont have to say. lol

eyefinity 1600p? You're going to need more than a 1k for 3 1600p monitors, but it definitely gets my vote. Just get some after-market heatsinks for the 290 cards.

three 1080p gaming monitors (120hz) in a portrait mode... (3240 x 1920)?
since the OP is in south korea... a 4k monitor?
isn't it easier to get "asian" stuff from asia, if you are in asia?.

or save the money for the 2018 winter olympics in korea...

nope. dont want to go less than 1600p. i prefer 1600p 60hz than 1080p 120hz. yeah i thought about 4k monitor but what should i do with my current 1600p monitor?
oh 2018 still far. the last olympics just finish.

But it is possible with $1000. There's no way you can get 3 solid 1600p monitors for under $1000.

as I mentioned above I already have 1 1600p monitor. just need to get 2 more. Since im in korea and my korean monitor Crossover 3020mdp is still ok, just need to get 2 more korean monitor. Last time I checked 1k budget is possible. I just need with 2x DVI connections since my current now support DP without active DP converter. I also saw 4K monitor here and damn I want one. But what about my current monitor? Damn it. lol. Selling here locally is abit impossible. I am not korean by the way lol. Just living here

I imagine most movies would be pixelated since they aren't available in 4k. Like watching 480p content on an HD monitor.

Also to hell with 30hz 4k. I'm sure the desktop looks amazing tho. :rolleyes:

There is actually alot of bluray movies that also include a 4K version along with a lot of nice YT 4K short movies.

When it becomes a standard I will agree with you. Until that happens along with affordable 60+hz 4k monitors, i don't see why it would be worth wasting money on half baked tech. I certainly wouldn't do it or try to make others make that mistake.

I'd use the money and take her on a vacation.

If not, definitely water cooling. You'd need part of the 1K to buy a new more friendlier case, too.
