dissapointing... the 4870 itself was suppossed to be near or better the 280 but now its just the Xfired 4870's will beat a single 280..............
Yep. It's SO disappointing that it trails behind fairly little and costs 350 dollars less... So VERY disappointing that this performance is at the same cost as one of Nvidia's cards... I am just so sad that someone made a midrange card and it only barely lost to someone else's high end. T_T /sarcasm
Look at reviews. Turn up the AA, and 4870 is in the lead! Oh, and you CAN add a fourth card... and still build the entire system for less than the cost of 3x GTX 280's.
What happens then? The fourth card means nothing to you? Nope. I can't afford it. Rather buy 3 GTX 280s and save money. /more sarcasm
I like this improvement. Look at the numbers. It's like... a 120% improvement over the 3870. It's like a 3870x2 overclocked to hell that has perfect scaling.
