No, don't get me wrong, I'm not a fanboy.

But you accuse others of it.

I like the brand that does best, in each specific case, which for the 670's, happens to be ASUS. While before I decided to get the 670's, I was planning on the MSI R7850, either the regular twin frozr version, or the brand new Power Edition model, if it turns out as good or better than the original.

...and that is you're opinion and many people agree with you. I'm just saying be careful how you word it, that is all I'm saying because calling someone else a fanboy is no better than acting like one. It is immature and disrespectful to people who have opinions that vary from your own for their own reasons.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason for you to even consider getting the 7970, unless you are a diehard AMD Fan-boy.

What in the world are you trying to prove?
I went purely based on the benchmarks, its NOT in ANY WAY opinion. The Asus 670 looks great, which is my opinion, but in no way is it the determining factor. Buying a 7970 over the Asus 670, would be moronic, unless you don't care about performance, when it is quite obvious that they would, since it is a $400+ card.
I didn't accuse anyone here of being a fanboy... I only said that for someone to choose a 7970 over the Asus 670, after comparing prices and benchmarks, would have to be a fanboy, or just completely illogical.
And also, NONE of what I said in that second quote in your post, was an opinion.

Isn't it obvious? I'm trying to get you to not use the term fan boy in your posts because all it does is serve to separate people into those who like AMD and those who like nVidia. Just because I tend to lean AMD doesn't mean I'm an AMD fan boy. I've always had good luck with AMD/ATi GPUs. Not a single one has died, but I have had nVidia cards in the past that have failed on me. So from personal experience I avoid nVidia. Now I'm not saying that the 670 and 680 aren't faster and placed better than the 7970, but some users, like myself, might not want to go with nVidia and would be willing to pay a little more for a brand that has always worked for them. Basically you're saying if someone buys a 7970 they are an idiot, and there is no need for that here.

Proof in point; just because I like nvidia's driver console more and prefer them more, does not make me a fanboy either. It's called BRAND LOYALTY. Would I purchase an AMD GPU, depends on the scenario at hand i.e. card with similar performance is $30-50 cheaper.

EDIT:

Also, furthermore, IMO the only card worth spending the cash on in the GTX6xx/HD7k generation are the HD7700/HD7800 cards. Everything else is too expensive to warrant the premium over previous gen cards.
