I'm sad to see just how badly the 5830 got gutted. For starters, it looks pretty confirmed to have 1120 shaders rather than 1280. And look at the ROPs; the number got halved to match the 5770!
And after all this, it will have a higher board power consumption than the 5850? I mean, yes, the 5830 is clocked 75mhz higher, but has a ton disabled...?
If this thing doesn't handily beat an HD 4890, then I don't think this is the card I want to see AMD use to fill the void between the 5770 and 5850.
