Hmmm. So selling things for high prices as opposed to reasonable prices seems to be the key to fiscal success of a company. (Whether it's server hardware, OS software, or personal computers)
Their OS costs $130 retail, and you get all the features it has to offer. No tiered offerings.
They're PCs aren't overpriced either, but I've been over this time and time again on these forums, so I'll refrain this time. I'm just tired of saying it.
Some Apple products are pricey. Like their laptops and iPods and such, but they also bring features that others in their respective segments don't include. Whether or not these features are worth what they are charging, is up to whomever buys them, I suppose. Not generally worth it for me, under normal circumstances, but when you include things like student or corporate discounts, I'll take an iPod over most other mp3 players any day, due solely to their aftermarket support.
