Success! Just recieved a slightly dusty (very slightly warped) EAH4870 512MB. They didn't update my RMA notes to say they recieved the card, approved the RMA or shipped out a new one, but it's here! Time to test it out!

I told them about everything in my notes (dead fan, crashing in crossfire, crashing alone, taking the fan off to replace it with another, etc). I wish the communication was a little better, but in the end, I just RMA'd a nearly three year old video card. :D

Just a quick Heaven v2.5 bench at stock settings. Check the spoiler below the screencap to compare to my 4850. (nearly double the score).

Unfortunately, it's less than half of another user's stock 4870X2 and putting the card in crossfire with my 4850 only gave me 9 points. The 4870X2 managed ~1600 points where my 4870 only managed 631 (was hoping for 800+).

FurMark benchies to come.

I'm glad that it worked out for you, I'm having a lot of trouble with their support on my Maximus II ROG motherboard. It took them a month to send me a replacment(so much for faster RMAs for ROG products) and the one I received was DOA, and now they are trying to charge me $120 to repair it. If it wasn't for their great sound cards I would be avoiding them like the plague.

Just Cause 2 - Desert Sunrise Benchmark

4870
Time: 119.75
Avg. FPS: 54.10

4870 + 4850
Time: 118.26
Avg. FPS: 84.86

Will update with a 4850 score as soon as I find an easy way of forcing the 4850 as the default GPU.

Odd that Furmark and Heaven dislike crossfire, but Just Cause 2 seems to like it.
