Asus M3A79-T & Phenom II 940?

I'm about to pickup a Phenom II 940 to use on my Asus M3A79-T motherboard. The MB bios has never been flashed and I'm still using the stock 0302 bios.

Will I need to flash it to use the Phenom II 940?

Yes you will need to.

You would at least need the 0602 bios in order to use the Phenom II lineup.
