TRUE Spirit 120 coolers are a few degrees better then 212 coolers. TRUE Spirit 140 is several degrees better then TRUE Spirit 120 and TRUE Spirit 140 Power is a few degrees better then TRUE Spirit 140.

There is a new TRUE Spirit 140 BW Rev. A releasing soon wit offset base and 5mm shorter.

Take a look at the Thermalright TRUE Spirit 140 Power for about 35 quid. It is 2.5dBA quieter than NH-D14 and 0.7c warmer. If want 7-8c more cooling change the fan to a TY-143 for another fiver. ;)
Will have a look at that now. TY-143 is a good fan is it? I was looking at some be quiet fans also

H100 won't give you issues with RAM clearance. Price is good, you can trust the refurbs. My H100 is currently in another pack been running 24/7 for almost 2 years now. I recommend you replace the fans though, mighty loud.

You running a manufacturer refurb as well? Yeah I will look to change the fans after running em for a while.

The TY-143 is ball bearing so you can hear it if you put our ear into the middle of hub .. be careful you don't catch your ear in the blades. :D
I find them nice and quiet below about 1000rpm. Can't or can barely hear them. Honestly I can't really say I notice any difference between TY-140, TY-143 and TY-147, and I use several of each. Some on open bench, some in systems. I usually use TY-143 on cooler and TY-140 / TY-147 for case with all on PWM control. 2x TY-140 / TY-147 case fans supply as much air as 1x TY-143 moves through cooler .. and use a TY-143 on exhaust to remove heated cooler exhaust as fast as cooler dumps it out.

It's out of the Ashura, Scythe Mugen 4 and the Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3 so far. As well as the H100 refurbished. The heatsinks all come with pretty good fans to start with, unlike the H100, but I get the feeling the H100 with two good fans such as the TY-143 would do better than any heatsink with an overclocked load.

TY-143 are 140mm fans. Doesn't H100 use 120mm fans?
Honestly the H100 isn't as good as the top air coolers are.

Long term the H100 will probably last 2-3 years. The pump will eventually fail or not moving water fast enough. Being a sealed system there is no way to top up or replace coolant, and there is coolant loss even in a sealed system .. as well as it has a life expectancy. The refurbs have a 1 year warranty here only because that is the law, and no warranty for damage to other components

Limitation of Liability
CORSAIR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA (WHETHER DIRECT OR INDIRECT) OR COMMERCIAL LOSS FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY ON YOUR PRODUCT EVEN IF CORSAIR HAS BEEN ADVISED PREVIOUSLY OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. Some local laws do not allow the exclusion or limitation of special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply in your jurisdiction.

£40 for cooler and anther £20-25 for fans and you are in price rage of top air coolers like

Silver Arrow IB-E Extreme £64.20 at Scan. SA IB-E performs as good / slightly better then SA SB-E but has offset for PCI-e socket .

TRUE Spirit 140 Power is £33.77 .. add another £6.95 for a TY-143, maybe another £6.95 for one for rear exhaust. TS140P will overlap PCI-e socket, but is only 53mm center CPU to front of fan so should clear RAM slots .. and a few degrees warmer than SA IB-E with same fan.

Cryorig R1 Ultimate (67mm RAM clearance) and R1 Universal (49mm RAM clearance) are £47.72 + £3.27 post from Telco Tec (no idea if they are decent company) and Amazon UK for £70.23
I class the R1 Ultimate as one of top 2 or 3 coolers right now. I can supply drawings with measurements if you need them. ;)

Forgive me if you feel pushed toward air, but the data shows it is better then all but a very few CLC and definitely more dependable. What case do you have?

If youre interested I have a very good CPU cooler for sale that meets your needs http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/freedoms-blowout-bonanza-everything-must-go.148496/

the downside is its a little 'bent up' - It doesnt sit 100% horizontal and leans to one side but I tested it with the 2500k it came with and it worked perfectly. temps were perfectly normal even while stressed. the 1155 fittings should still work with 1150.

Let me know if you're interested.

looked up some benchmarks and they're not as good as any of the other suggested coolers, but for £15 it's not a bad deal!

I was always going to get an aircooler until I saw the H100 at that price. I wanted the Cryorig R1 but i couldn't find a seller. Telco-Tec don't appear to accept Paypal but I will email and ask. If I can't get the R1 I'll try and get the Cryorig H5, and then my third choice is the Scythe Mugen 4 or True Spirit 140 Power.

I'll be getting an Enthoo Pro :D

Enthoo Pro is a nice case. I have the Enthoo Primo and want an Enthoo Luxe for 2nd rig. I don't think H5 is in production yet, and TRUE Spirit 140 Power cools better. I have a H5 engineering sample and can't say how it does yet. Not until general release and test samples are out. :D

EU distributor for Cryorig is Alternate.de and they have a UK website too
http://www.alternate.co.uk/html/search.html?query=cryorig&x=0&y=0

Now in Japan there has been at least one test ofH5 Universal. :D

It's available here
but it's another site that doesn't take PayPal so I'm apprehensive. Same goes for the R1 available at Telco-Tec

It's looking like I'm gonna go for that True Spirit 140 or the Mugen 4

I have to wonder about any place selling Cryorig here in UK when the only dealer Cryorig lists is Alternate for UK .. and they are distributor in Europe as well .. (that is what Cryorig told me) and Alternate doesn't have any in stock yet but is taking pre-orders on their German site.

As much as I love Cryorig, the TRUE Spirit 140 Power gives exceptional performance .. performance associated with coolers costing twice as much.

Only 3 reviews of CaseTac. 2 paid and have no product, the third did receive product but was delayed.
