That psu only has 15A on the 12v rail and is only 300 watts so I say its time for a new psu hooking up a 7600gt might cause some damage to the card as evga requires 18A on the 12v rail for their 7600.
18 amps is 204 watts.. i would guess a 7600gt draws 70 watts at the most.. soooo it might work.. i think we are talking the kid aint got much money.. so it has to be cheap..
i know someone who runs a 6600gt and power hungry 3.2 gig intel P4 prescot in a small form factor case on a 200 watt psu.. its a baby size psu and there aint room for bigger one.. but it works perfectly okay..

ps.. and my laptop runs an overclocked 6600 and charges its batteries all on a 98 watt psu... he he he..
