Performance is just awful on AMD hardware at the moment. It's playable but framerates are lower than any game that I've played with my current setup.

It's only the 360 version that's broken at the moment. The Live Streaming link EastCoast posted looked fine to me.

I'll be gutted if this game is shite, but I'm not the one buying it.

I'm going to pass on this game. Been watching tons of video gameplay and reviews. Even before I watched a few reviews, the game just turns me off for some reason. It does not look appealing at all and is not 'unique' enough to pick up. It lacks it's own style in my opinion.

funny I generally am able to tell if I'm going to like a game by the opening scene and first 2 minutes of play. Even when I've struggle on to finish games where the first 2 minutes sucked ass, the whole game still sucked ass.

the reviews make sense now, with it being limited to 360.

i got it for pc and i am playing a polished game. not perfect, but definitely
worth it imo. it reminds me alot of team fortress, and i am hoping there
will be some free updates along those lines... at least don't gouge me for
them.

it's unfair to compare it to tf2 though, as that has had years to build up content.

i think brink is a good addition to my library, and i look forward to playing it
on and off as i do cs:s and tf:2. smooth, fluid gameplay and good shooting.

It's funny o see TF2 comparisons, I havent looked at this game a ton, but everytime I seen it I bunched it in with Borderlands and Rage and figured since I had Borderlands I would skip this and just get Rage.

i can see the art style being compared to borderlands, but past that i don't see it.

those d2d pre-order sales killed me, but it also means i have every big game im
looking forward to pre-ordered, rage included. i expect rage to be MUUCH better
than brink, and with the time frame skipping brink for it isn't a bad idea.

as for gameplay, brink to me fits a niche role, whereas rage will be the next
big story shooter.

BrinkConfig 1.0 is now available

User Rjay_W has created a config program for Brink that provides tweaks for the game. If you are interested it is found here.

Hmm, quick note:
1. The config file saves the autoexec.cfg in the local sub folder instead of the ...local/base/ sub-folder. So when you use it just move the autoexec.cfg file to the base subfolder.
2. The FOV is bugged and should be fixed. You can alter these yourself though. All you do is look for: steam/userdata/*numbers*/*numbers*/local/base. Then open the brinkconfig.cfg file.

So in a nutshell he's working on another version of this program.
