Im disappointed in many of the reviews.

Im all for comparing it to the coreI7 720, to give gamers an idea if the extra cost pays off for this new technology in games ( which it doesnt as the reviews show)

But half the reviews have as only core2quad competitor the Q9650, while the PII 955 is 10 bucks cheaper than the Q9550, i expect the 955 to drop in price soon after launch also.

For those who plan to run DDR2, the 940 is back in stock for 189 bucks, thats 5 bucks more than a Q8400....

Glad the PII beats the C2Q in every price range they compete :)

You can't just look at synthetics.. Look at game benchmarks, even the PII 720 keeps up with the i7 stuff. Not only that, but from what I've seen and used, the i7 get far too hot for any air overclocks with 1.35v+. I love Intel, don't get me wrong, I just really don't like what they did with i7. I'm looking forward to i5 tho, if they run well enough on air for overclocking I'll most likely build an i5 rig along side a few AM3 since I'll have an adundance of DDR3 and ATi cards.

Funny how AMD HOLDS the records in 3dMark with it's sub 300 dollar CPU vs Intels 1 GRAND CPU!

Bought mine this morning at like 9:30. Got the order confirm and that they charged my card within 10 mins. Newegg is based out of Cali so they won't do crap until 12 EST. My guess... I'll have it tomorrow. Newegg has a distributor about 40 mins from me :D


Too bad I have nothing to put it in... that will come early next month with the rest of the system. It's gonna be a beast :D
