Farcry2 Dx-10 Problem

I'm completely stumped. New drivers and a reinstall of fc2 and still same problem.

Even with a fresh install of fc2 the game still wants to load in windowed mode and I don't know why. I think I'm getting a conflict with windowed mode. Does anybody know why this is happening or how can I go back to full screen without entering the game? Check out my screenie, the bench will crash loaded in window mode, but runs fine in full screen, to weird. No overclocks also.

I think its another gpu going out. One of them will only load certain resolutions. If I load a res that the suspect card doesn't like, my system will run fine, until I load far cry then it crashes. Finally changed res to 1280x1024 and farcry loaded fine. And plays fine at 1600x1200. Set windows res to 1600x1200 and farcry crashes. lol Is one of my cards going out again, or is this an sli glitch?

Here is the November 2008 redistributable.
It's quite a bit harder to find than the august for some reason.

you run this.. then run the one "setup" file inside whatever folder you download this too..
All of the rar files are garbage..
just let the setup handle it for you..

as for the sli issue.. are you overclocking them or one of them?
you need to make sure your OC goes only as high as the worse of the 2 cards can handle at top end..
Any instability on either card will cause faults.

take one card out and run non-sli.. go stock clock speeds..
if you don't crash, there's your problem...

I had the exact same issue before..
one of the cards just wasn't as good as the other..
I just lowered the OC and it became stable again..
went back to default speed. maybe or slightly above.

What will this redistributle do for me? What is it? I'm only overclocking a little. Nothing major. Like I said, it won't load certain resolutions in single mode. In sli it will load any res and cause conflict when opening farcry. Is this a faulty card?

Lol.. every time I make a suggestion.. you say "what would this do"
direct x..
if you run the setup file in direct x..
what does it do?
It updates directx..
the redistributable is considered among many people.
to be more reliable than standard updating measures.
If the standard updates missed anything..
this one won't.

took me some time to find than dang link for you..
I even downloaded it to verify it was clean and the right file..lol.


just because one clock doesn't want to go above stock speeds doesn't mean it's faulty..

then it's the card.. or the OC...
