need new lappy, need to sell old one

I'm looking to upgrade my Lappy from my Sony Vaio VGN-FS740W running Ubuntu 9.10 to something with more pep in its step but still Linux friendly with enough punch to play Myst IV and such as well as a few FPS RTS things while at the same time keeping the batt life as high as possible for long cross country holiday road-trips. I plan to dual boot and I like laptops with no beveled edges (kinda like a scion xB 2005, this way i can mod if I need to). My max limit is $750.
I also need to sell my Sony Vaio. :ohwell:

Here are some pics of my current lappy 386. I had to mod the DVD-RW as it died so I put in a slot feed that required some jurry riggin. Also missing F1 key. No clue why. I also upgraded the battery to a 9 cell which while running Linux gets approx. 5.5 hrs. It is out of Manufacturer warranty. I don't even know what to ask for it. any suggestions?

It's to avoid trolls. If someone has to come in and make 50+ non-spam posts, it's usually not worth all the trouble just to rip someone off.

50 Post crap

I tried for several days at evga to get 1 of those BFG285GTX for $215, crap of is when I first went to the thread it was a regular open thread, then I dicked around and when I got thru the singup it had been moved.
I pm'd and e-mailed the seller but nada, screw the 50 post crap not worth the time

San Ace H1011 fans for $20. That's pretty amazing since these are a discontinued set of fans. These are the old series that a guy bought in bulk. I'm getting a couple myself, and he has more. Just tell him BiNGE sent ya.
